    Abstract: Don Louis Perceval grew up in California and studied at Chouinard Art Institute, London's Royal College of Art and the Heatherley Art School. In addition to his work as a commercial artist, he also served on the faculty of Chouinard Art Institute and the Art Department of Pomona College. The collection consists of illustrations, books, and ephemera related to Don Louis Perceval and his work as an artist.

    Biography

    Perceval was born in Woodford, Essex, England, in 1908; he grew up in California and studied at Chouinard Art Institute; attended London's Royal College of Art and the Heatherley Art School; in addition to his work as a commercial artist, he also served on the faculty of Chouinard Art Institute and the Art Department of Pomona College; he is noted as a painter of Hopi and Navajo Indians.

    Collection consists of illustrations, books, and ephemera related to Don Louis Perceval and his work as an artist. Includes proposed murals for the main reading room of UCLA's library (1957).
