Description
The Scripps Institution of Oceanography Technical Publications Office records document the functions of the office and publication
policies of the Institution.
Background
The Technical Publications Office at Scripps Institution of Oceanography was responsible for various publications created
by the institution. The office was led by Kitty K. Kuhns and functioned as part of the SIO Director's Office. Kuhns was hired
in 1968, initially as an editor responsible for contract reports and the Contributions (Scripps Institution of Oceanography). Prior to this, all publications were managed by the Public Affairs Office.
