Professor and former dean of the UC Berkeley Department of Engineering. From 1991-1996, Pister served as Chancellor, UC Santa
Cruz.

Original 2003-2004 accession and 2024 addition processed at baseline level 2, which means physical arrangement of the collection
remains as received by donors and descripton consists of a collection-level record with flat container listing. Original print
container listing from 2003-2004 accession combined with container listing for 2024 additions, encoded in EAD, and enhanced
with notes by processing archivist Lara Michels.
Consists of correspondence, lectures, grant proposals, and course materials relating to Karl Pister's career as professor
and dean in the UC Berkeley Department of Engineering. Also includes some material documenting Professor Pister's tenure as
UC Santa Cruz Chancellor from 1991-1996.
