Description
This collection contains prints of American Indians mainly from the Midwestern and Eastern United States during the 18th and 19th centuries. Many of the prints depict romanticized views of Native Americans, including but not limited to their daily life, peaceful and violent interactions with Europeans and Americans, and portraits of important leaders and figures.

129 prints in 2 boxes; prints 53 cm. x 48 cm. (21 in. x 19 in.) and smaller.
Restrictions
The Huntington Library does not require that researchers request permission to quote from or publish images of this material, nor does it charge fees for such activities. The responsibility for identifying the copyright holder, if there is one, and obtaining necessary permissions rests with the researcher.
