Biographical / Historical

History Lockheed Georgia company (GELAC), located in Marietta, Georgia, was one of five branches of Lockheed’s aeronautical systems group. While GELAC has had many important projects, they are primarily recognized for their critical work on the Lockheed C-5 Galaxy. In September 1987, GELAC, Lockheed California (CALAC), and Lockheed Aircraft Service (LAS) were all integrated into Lockheed Aeronautical Systems Company.
